What Clio Grow and Grow AI do today

Clio Grow handles intake inside the Clio ecosystem. Firms share intake forms on their website or by email or text; the information flows into Clio Grow and syncs to Clio Manage when a lead becomes a client. Grow generates engagement letters and retainers from templates, sends them for e-signature, and runs conflict checks across Clio at intake.

Grow AI, announced August 20, 2026, monitors a firm’s phone lines, inbox, and website chat. Its voice agent, available to U.S. customers, answers inbound calls that the firm forwards from its existing phone system when the team is unavailable—after hours or when lines are busy—gathers case details, screens callers for fit, and books consultations for qualified leads. Each call lands in the Grow inbox with a lead score, screening results, and a full transcript. Firms choose the voice, the greeting, and whether the agent discloses that it is AI, and Clio says the scoring is trained on the firm’s own case history.

Where Clio Grow is the stronger fit

Grow AI is the natural first test for a firm that already runs Clio Manage and wants every lead, conflict check, retainer, and matter to stay in one vendor’s system. Its results-based billing—paying when a matter Grow AI helped with is hired—can also suit firms that prefer not to pay for unconverted conversations.

LegalVoice does not run conflict checks across Clio, does not score leads on case merit, and is not a practice-management system.

Where LegalVoice is the stronger fit

LegalVoice is built for personal injury intake specifically and gives the firm control over every path and outcome.

  • Firm-approved PI questions: incident account, reported injury and treatment, insurance context, and prior representation.
  • Configured paths for existing clients, providers, adjusters, and vendors—not only new leads—with explicit dispositions.
  • Coverage that can run around the clock, after hours, or as overflow, with configured transfers to the firm’s people and owned callbacks when nobody answers.
  • Dropped-call recovery that can place one guarded return call in the configured language.
  • Call Coach for staff calls: live prompts, a live transcript, and a self-filling intake checklist.
  • Handoffs to Lead Docket and Filevine with visible failure states, for firms that run those systems.
Two billing models: per hired matter versus a quoted intake plan

On October 13, 2026, Clio’s pricing page said its plans start at $49 per user, with Clio Grow included in Elite and Elite Work and available as an add-on for other plans. Clio’s help center says Grow AI is billed for each lead that becomes a hired client with Grow AI’s help, that a hiring target pauses Grow AI but is not a billing cap, and existing Grow customers get their first three Grow AI hires free. The per-hire rate was not published.

LegalVoice sends pricing on request and offers a 14-day free trial. Model both against the same month—expected calls, after-hours share, hires, signing, follow-up, and staff review time. This page does not claim either option costs less.

Using LegalVoice with Clio Grow

LegalVoice includes a Clio Grow lead-inbox connector that sends completed call, web-form, and web-chat intakes to the firm’s Grow inbox using its Lead Capture token; when a delivery cannot be confirmed, the intake is flagged for review rather than resent. Confirm it with a fictional test lead in your own account before relying on it.

If the firm also turns on Grow AI, decide which agent answers which lines and hours so callers never meet two AI agents, and decide which system’s transcript and score staff should trust.
