Lawmatics’ official personal injury page describes software that helps PI firms respond quickly, qualify leads, and manage intake, CRM, and reporting. Its platform includes intake forms, pipeline tracking, built-in e-signature for fee and retainer agreements, client self-scheduling synced with Google or Outlook, two-way text messaging, drip email automation, document automation, and reporting with source attribution. It also states SOC 2 Type 2 certification and HIPAA attestation.
LegalVoice does the conversation itself. It answers the firm’s configured phone lines and website, runs the approved PI intake, and ends each conversation with structured fields, a transcript, a summary, a disposition, and a next step—booked, transferred, sent a retainer, queued for callback, or flagged for review.
Merlin Qualify, available now as an add-on, scores each new lead using the firm’s criteria; on the PI page, Lawmatics says it reviews case type, severity, liability, treatment status, prior representation, and statute urgency, then recommends a next step. Merlin Engage, a separate paid add-on for conversational follow-up, was labeled “coming soon” in Lawmatics’ navigation, and its page described a Voice Agent that reaches out by phone.
On the AI page reviewed October 13, 2026, Phone Agents, Email Agents, and Website Chat Agents were labeled “coming soon.” For live phone intake today, Lawmatics lists integrations with answering providers such as Smith.ai and LEX Reception that complete Lawmatics intake forms.
Choose Lawmatics when the firm needs a system of record for every lead and contact, nurture campaigns, marketing reporting, and document automation. Its integrations list includes Filevine, Clio, MyCase, SmartAdvocate, CallRail, and Google Ads, and its Filevine integration creates a matter when a lead converts.
LegalVoice includes intake-focused follow-up by SMS and email, but it is not a full marketing-automation suite, and it does not score leads on case merit.
Choose LegalVoice when new-case calls and website inquiries are going to voicemail, waiting for a person, or ending without a complete intake.
Some firms will want LegalVoice on the phones and Lawmatics as the CRM. LegalVoice does not currently offer a verified Lawmatics connector, so agree in writing how a completed intake reaches Lawmatics—for example, staff review of LegalVoice’s intake record before entering the lead—and who owns duplicates and follow-up.
If the firm runs Filevine or Lead Docket alongside Lawmatics, test whether LegalVoice should hand intake to those systems directly instead.
Lawmatics statements come from its official AI, Merlin Engage, personal injury, pricing, and Smith.ai integration pages reviewed on October 13, 2026. Lawmatics labels some AI products as coming soon or in beta, and those labels may change. LegalVoice statements come from its public product, workflow, and e-signature pages and the product code in this repository.
